HONOR. COMMUNITY. LEGACY.

¿QUIÉNES SOMOS?

The Latino Veterans' Legacy of Valor Foundation is a 501c3 committed to honoring Greater Milwaukee Latino veterans and service members by sharing their stories and creating a permanent tribute to their sacrifice. The Latino Veterans' Legacy of Valor Foundation operates as a subsidiary of the Wisconsin - American GI Forum.

¿QUÉ HACEMOS?

The legacy of Latino veterans in military history is one of valor, honor and duty to the United States of America. Latinos have fought in every major military encounter in American history, from the Revolutionary War at the very inception of our country, to the recent conflicts in the Middle East.

HONOR.

The Latino Veterans Legacy of Valor Foundation awards the 1Lt. Daren M. Hidalgo Latino Veteran of the Year Award. This award recognizes a local Latino veteran or service member that continues his/her service to their local Latino community beyond the military.

COMMUNITY.

In collaboration with the Milwaukee County War memorial, the Wisconsin - American GI Forum and the Milwaukee Latino Community, we honor Latino service members, past, present and future, at an event featuring those brave individuals who have served and have shaped our shared community.

LEGACY.

Long before the Foundation was formed, our volunteers committed to creating a permanent tribute to honor past Latino veteran contributions in a way that educates future generations. We have embarked on an ambitious campaign to make this dream a reality.
